(nuclear explosion)
"Well, shit."
Tune in to this week's episode of Emmy Award-winning post-apocalyptic sitcom THE DREGS to find out what happens after the big blast!

Cream of the crop!
They'll come out on top!
THE DREGS!

The air is warm and still
I took my poison pill
But I guess it didn't work
Woke up, just like any other day
They said there would be pain
But so far it seems OK
Went outside: no fallout, no burning air
Called out: no echo, there's no-one there

Rode my bike straight down John Nolen Drive
And screamed under the overpass
Feels good to be alive
I think of cancer growing in my lungs
Or will it be my blood?
I tried to die in my sleep like they said I should
Thought I was good
Did what I could...

And I remember when I was seventeen
The summer ended and it was only me
Working at the supermarket,
While all my friends went off to claim their futures
And I was left behind, feeling useless,
So I rode my bike after work
Down the path around the lake
Every day
Until I ached
And here I am again, with my legs on fire,
The dregs again, left behind again
To die again
In my slow and lonely way
Failing a little every day
But I'm used to it
I know how to wait
